Mental Health Tip: How to be Happy

The way to a full enriching life is to focus on yourself. Make time for easy to do at home relaxation techniques.

People today are in a constant frenzy. Between work and family there is little time for yourself. However, if there is no time for yourself the human body will start to slack. By not having good mental health your body's immune system starts to weaken, headaches become more common and human relations seems impossible. How can you possibly relate to one another when your stress level is at an all time high?

The first step is to look at your schedule. A lot of people need to learn some time management. By rearranging your schedule in a way that will cause less stress is on its own quite rewarding. Look at your schedule, there will be several items on that schedule that can be rearranged to make better time. By combining items on your schedule and taking off unecessary items you can give yourself a good thirty minutes to an hour of free time everyday.Try to fit that time space in a part of your day that is usually most stressful for you.

Now that you have found the time, you need to find your most relaxing reward. A lot of people enjoy sipping on an herbal tea while listening to relaxing music. If you find you have a good hour or more during your day, go home take a hot bath with lilac or lilly bath beads, light some candles and maybe read a good book. Even if your short on time and places to run and hide; the place is not as important as what you do during your time. Hiding in your car or office for twenty minutes with no interruptions can give you a whole new outlook on your day.

Music is a wonderful relaxation method, nature tapes are great to put your mind at ease. The human body needs only twenty minutes of relaxation a day to rejuvinate, and music can fill those twenty minutes with bliss.

If you want more of a physical and mental relaxation time try yoga or any other meditation technique. Yoga is most successful, especially in a short period of time. If classes are not your style, your local library has plenty of relaxation books on yoga to suit your needs.

Once you get through your day ( not forgetting your relaxation period), bedtime can be your most blissful moment. Give yourself a nice mini facial. You can use over the counter exfoliant. This will help take all those stressful toxins from the day off your face, relaxing your facial muscles. Use a light toner and moisturizer before bed, also take a minute to rub some lotion on your feet and hands. This will help relax the mind and body giving you a great night sleep and a good morning.

Take care of yourself, people count on you on a daily basis. You need to be in the best mental health in order to perform your best, so take time for yourself.
